BABAMOLE RAMON OLANREWAJU (MR)

I have a Social Science background with a first degree in Sociology, professional course certification in management and Humanitarian Study/NGO Management.I am currently the National coordinator of National Youth Network on HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Involved in Policy advocacy, training and service provision, resources mobilization, coordination of Youth HIV/SRH intervention in Nigeria. Currently member National HIV Prevention technical work group by National Agency for the control AIDS (NACA), Member PrEP Sub committee with Federal Ministry of Health (NASCP), member of Adolescent technical Work group by Lagos Ministry of Health and member Advocacy and Former member Prevention and resources mobilization technical work group by Lagos State AIDS control Agency.

I have worked extensively on projects sponsored by Developmental partners and government agencies. I worked as the program Director for a non-governmental organization Youth Builders Initiative, in Lagos Nigeria on HIV prevention project Funded by Global Fund through Society for Family Health targeted at Key Population (MSM) services provided includes: Peer Education session, HIV Testing services, STIs, Referrals and Linkages, sensitization and awareness campaigns, condom and lubrication distribution, Community Stakeholders meetings/sensitization, Community town Hall meetings, training of PEs and Outreach workers) in Lagos State.(2006-2007) I also coordinate the project title HCT DRIVE AMONG NIGERIA YOUTH IN MECHANIC VILLAGE AND MOTOR PARK IN THREE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA IN LAGOS STATE project by Federal Ministry of Youth Development founded by World Bank HPDPII through National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) the Project aim is to improve the uptake of HCT and other HIV prevention services among Nigeria Youth. Key activities include Advocacy visit, HCT, Condom demonstration and distribution, referrals and linkages and Data dissemination. Also coordinate the community intervention of MTV Staying Alive foundation/NYNETHA Project title ‘’SHUGA’’ which is a drama series on HIV prevention information, services and support, Sexual Reproductive Health, Gender Base Violence and Sexual networking among the Youth and Adolescent in Nigeria. Using the Drama series to educate and create demand for HIV and SRH services among Youth and Adolescent in Lagos.(2005-2006) currently coordinating Adolescent Girs and Young Women (AGYW) Project in three States Anambra, Ebonyi and Kwara State on the Global Fund GC7, project with AHNI and NEPWHAN.

Prior to joining NGO, I have work in both the public and private sector, in the Public Sector I serve as the Personal assistance to the Commissioner for rural development under the Lagos State ministry of Rural Development and work as Director with Options Investment Limited. A private Organisation that is into Real Estate/ facilities management and Sales of Window Blinds and accessories.

Moreso, the Lagos State team to implement Adolescent and Young People HIV awareness campaign Project by NACA and supported by UNICEF Nigeria. Currently member National Prevention technical Working Group.
