Service Delivery (counseling / testing, psychosocial support, palliative care, Malaria, tuberculosis and STI management)
Sexual and reproductive health and rights remain the most debated issue which explains why it has not been completely integrated as a development issue in Nigeria. Comprehensive sexuality education, care and support for persons living with HIV or affected by AIDS, diversities and differences, sexualities, bodily autonomy, bodily care, palliative care and other range of interventions are at the core of AHRDI’s work.

Project under Service Delivery
  • Counseling/ testing –Through this project AHRDI provides counseling and testing services for its beneficiaries. When service beneficiaries test positive to HIV, the organization provides follow up services including making referrals and linkages to appropriate services. It also works with persons living with HIV to monitor adherence.
  • Psychosocial support –AHRDI staff, volunteers and board members are trained to provide psychosocial support for persons who have faced various forms of violence such as rape, violent attacks and other forms of injustice, the beneficiaries initially go through a pre-counseling session leading to psychosocial support if and where necessary.
  • Palliative care – AHRDI Palliative care department which comprises the care and support officer is well equipped to cater and render health care in service delivery ,AHRDI also organizes a group of people who are positive to HIV for support and Life skills building this group is known as the support group which is being Overseen by our care and support officer.
