Due to constant abuse faced by sexual minorities in Nigeria, AHRDI currently supports shelter initiatives and safe space for members who have come under attack due to their real or perceived sexual orientation. The organization provides linkages to existing shelter to settle in its members who might be facing ejection from home or communities. The organization also provides shelter management training for nascent organization to ensure that shelter occupants are treated with dignity and respect and have access to skills that enhance their life during and after leaving the shelter.
